This webinar will help you understand what is meant by the term “internal controls”. We will review some signs and indicators of internal control weaknesses and potential fraud. You will learn where you are most likely to have the most exposure to risks of financial misstatements and/or fraud, and you will be provided resources for developing and monitoring internal controls in your municipality. The webinar concludes with some specific discussion on how to achieve improved internal control in a small finance office.
