The 2023 North Carolina Black Elected Municipal Officials (NCBEMO) Summer Conference will be held in person on Friday, July 28-Sunday, July 30, 2023 in Rocky Mount, NC at the Rocky Mount Event Center, 285 NE Main Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27801. Hotel accommodations will be at either of these locations: Doubletree by Hilton- 651 N. NCBEMO, (an affiliate of the NC League of Municipalities), is a nonpartisan organization of black elected municipal officials composed of mayors and council members from over 540 cities and towns across the state. We provide a forum for information on public policy and the latest innovation coming to our cities and towns. We promote, sponsor and conduct training programs that educate our members in municipal government; support officials in the administration of their affairs; and award at least two scholarships to deserving high school seniors (based on need and overall GPA) entering college.
Becoming a sponsor of our annual summer conference allows your organization to network with local government officials who are interested in building long-term public/private partnerships. I encourage you to take a strong look at our sponsorship opportunities and determine how we can better work together. Participating in this summer conference will allow your organization to be exposed to the future governmental leaders of North Carolina as well as long time advocates who have spent a lifetime improving our municipalities across the state.
